Finishing Touch took its name from the old barbers shop where it began as a pop up bookshop, gallery and project space with a salon by Open Barbers from November 2015 to February 2016. Open Barbers now have a permanent space at 4 Clunbury Street in Hackney.
Finishing Touch programmed a series of events, screenings, exhibitions and performances, which invited artists to work with us in the spirit of the 'salon' and all of its definitions - as a site for hair and beauty, as a gathering to share and exchange knowledge and as an exhibition space.
Finishing Touch continues as a collaborative mobile project run by Joyce Cronin and Louisa Bailey, with a new space is coming in 2017.
Upcoming projects by Finishing Touch:
1 October 2016: The Little Book of Answers & Act of Memory (Brixton), part of Art Licks Weekend 2016.
